  • Product Profile

The low temperature globe valve is the closing piece (disc) moving along the center line of the seat. According to this form of movement of the disc, the change of the seat opening is directly proportional to the disc stroke. Because the valve stem of this kind of valve is relatively short, and has a very reliable cutting function, and because of the change of the valve seat opening and the valve disc stroke, it is very suitable for the adjustment of the flow rate. Therefore, this type of valve is well adapted for use as cutting or regulating as well as throttling.

  • Design Feature

-Body and Bonnet: Austenitic stainless steel forgings used in the body and bonnet have excellent impact strength, minimum heat loss and corrosion protection. Only specially approved foundries may have cast steel valves cast.

-Stem: To reduce wear, the stem is prestretched in nitrogen 50 (grade XM-19 A479), even at extremely low temperatures, excellent low friction and no wear. Stem use 316L used for less demanding applications.

-Parts: All austenitic stainless steel, small size 1 / 4” -2 " forged steel valve, seat, wedge, or disc is usually STL 6.

    -Yoke bushing: copper.

-Lubrication: molybdenum sulfide lubricant 33 or compound grease

2.-Packaging: PTFE or other plastic packaging is cryoprotected using insulated gas columns and secondary packaging using graphite for fire protection operations.

-Seat surface: The STL is used to prevent wear and bruises. If soft sealing is required, the valve shall provide other sealing materials such as PCTFE or PTFE.

-Bolted connection: hardened austenitic stainless steel.

Welding: The nickel electrodes must be used.

-Cleaning: All cryogenic valves are degreased, cleaned and sealed to prevent contamination.
